VEIL Interactive Technologies got its start in the imagination of its founder, Edward J. "Ted" Koplar in 1996 when Ted acquired the rights and assets of the technology now known as VEIL. The thought to bring the technology to where it is today, started long before 1996. In the early-mid 80's, there existed a cartoon dynasty known as Voltron: Defender of the Universe. This cartoon hit was a creation of Ted's that became a worldwide phenomenon that aired on stations across the globe as well as the air waves of his #1 privately-held television station at the time. The thought was that it could change the way children watched television if the cartoon could interact with the child. This idea lay dormant for a number of years until the acquisition of the technology. During the late 90's and into the beginning of the 21st century, the technology has been perfected to its working form today where it has only begun to have the impact that it is capable of having.
